In Antwerp, Fred Bervoets is a well-known figure. With his long hair, his beard and his distracted appearance he is considered as the prototypical artist. Often, you can find him in one of the many local pubs in Antwerp. Bervoets has been teaching at the Royal Academy for Fine Arts in Antwerp for eight years. Born 12th of May in Burcht, he attended class at this institution and at the Antwerp National Higher Institution for Fine Arts. Fred Bervoets (Antwerpen, 1942) is een Belgische kunstenaar.
Bervoets is een plastisch kunstenaar die voornamelijk werkt met de technieken: lithografie, zeefdruk, etsen, houtsnede en de zogenaamde acide-verkeerd-techniek.
