On the 4th November 1999, the Tribunal of First Instance of Antwerp confirmed its previous decision to ban the distribution of the book 'Edition Guggenheim' by the Flemish writer, Herrman Brusselmans. The fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester had issued proceedings against him after the book's author had described her in less than glowing terms. In particular he had compared her eyes to those of a toad and let his imagination run riot on the subject of her sexual fantasies.
