Kenny Carpenter

Kenny is a Brooklyn native who started as a Lightman at Galaxy 21(NYC) the club where Walter Gibbons was spinning. He was only seventeen at the time and work as lightman for seven years before he got his big break warming up for Walter Gibbons. In 1980 he was as asked to join Studio 54 as the main DJ. After Studio-54 he was mixing at different places Like Barns. Int, Tunnel, and the Wild pitch parties in the late 80's. In the early 90's he join the WBLS mixing on the Mastermix Dance Party. Now, Kenny can be found spinning around the world. Kenny is one of the few Dj's like Tony Humphries and Larry Levan who like using Thorens turntables over 1200's.
