Hi Everyone. 

Vincent Montanna, Jr. called me here at the
studio last night to let me know a bit of sad news.  

Philly Percussionist, Larry Washington passed
away Saturday, March 6th 1999 in the hospital, due to complications related to 
lung cancer.  

As we all know, Larry was a great guy, a great

musician, and a hell of a lot of fun, and a pleasure to work with in any studio session,
 over the many years.  He put his heart and soul into his work, and the sound of his congas still sing out, loudly, from those tracks as being unmistakably... "Larry 
Washington".  Keep a thought and a prayer in your

heart, in warm memory of Larry.
