Profile
They started as the Mellow Sounds. Patrick Adams, then leader of the Sparks, discovered the group and got them signed to Today Records. They had moderately successful uptempo and ballad tunes for Today, and later Kwanza and Buddah in the '70s, but no Black Ivory song ever made it beyond the low 30s and only one even reached the pop 200. They also recorded an album for Panoramic in 1985. Burgess later joined Aleem.
