Ernest Mathijs is lecturer in film studies at the University of Wales in Aberystwyth, editor of The Cinema of the Low Countries (2004) and co-editor of Big Brother International: Format, Critics and Publics (forthcoming). Xavier Mendik is series editor of AlterImage, co-editor of Underground USA: Filmmaking Beyond the Hollywood Canon (2002) and Director of the Cult Film Archive at Northampton University. He has written many books on cinema.
